Community Guidelines

At Rove, we’re committed to creating a positive, welcoming community for everyone. These guidelines govern every user and all content without exception, to help ensure that Rove remains a safe and respectful place to connect. We may update these rules from time to time, so please review them regularly for any changes.

Please report any suspected violations via the in-app reporting tools. Every submission is reviewed by our dedicated moderation team, which may result in content removal and account suspensions to, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may dispute the decision by emailing hi@rove.zone, and our team will re-evaluate the case.

Disruptive Conduct:

We maintain zero tolerance for disruptive conduct in real-world events and activities. Under no circumstances may you:

• Intentionally obstruct or interfere with another participant’s progress, performance, or experience during any in-person challenge or gathering.
• Tamper with, damage, or remove equipment, materials, or property belonging to organizers, venues, or fellow participants.
• Create physical hazards—such as blocking exits, tripping, or spillage—that compromise the safety or comfort of others.
• Employ loud, aggressive, or distracting behavior (e.g., shouting, excessive noise, flashing lights) intended to derail the flow of the event.
• Sabotage or mislead other participants by providing false instructions, hiding essential items, or otherwise undermining the integrity of the challenge.
• Bypass or ignore staff directions, safety protocols, or venue rules to gain an unfair advantage or simply to cause disruption.

These rules apply at all in-person events, challenges, and gatherings. Any breach may result in being asked to leave the activity and exclusion from future events, and, if appropriate, involving law enforcement.

Threats, Violence, and Harm:

We maintain zero tolerance for any content that promotes harm—whether to others or to oneself. Under no circumstances may you:

• Encourage, endorse, or participate in violent or dangerous activities, including the use of weapons, physical force, or reckless stunts.
• Intimidate, threaten, harass, or coerce any person or group, or advocate the destruction, defacement, or seizure of someone’s property.
• Suggest, instruct, or glamorize self-harm, self-injury, or suicide, including language that might compel an individual to hurt themselves.

These rules apply across all modes of communication—spoken, written, or digital. Any violation, from menacing language and calls for violence to content that fosters self-harm, may result in removal of the offending material and may lead to suspension or termination of your access.

Hateful Content, Terrorism, and Extremism:

We maintain zero tolerance for extremist and hate-based content. Under no circumstances may you:

• Permit terrorist organizations, violent extremist movements, or hate groups to operate, recruit, fundraise, or disseminate propaganda on our platform.
• Praise, advocate, or otherwise support acts of terrorism, violent extremism, or ideological violence.
• Use our service to coordinate, plan, or facilitate terrorist or extremist activities.
• Publish hate speech or content that vilifies, degrades, or incites discrimination or violence against any person or group based on race, color, caste, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, veteran status, immigration status, socio-economic status, age, weight, or pregnancy status.

Harassment and Bullying:

We maintain zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, and violations of personal privacy. Under no circumstances may you:

• Bully, intimidate, harass, or threaten any individual through messages, posts, or any other form of communication.
• Circumvent another user’s block by contacting them from an alternate or “sock-puppet” account.
• Share or distribute images of someone in a private setting—such as a bathroom, bedroom, locker room, or medical facility—without their knowledge and explicit consent.
• Publish or circulate another person’s private information (e.g., home address, phone number, financial details) without their permission, particularly when intended to harass, shame, or “doxx” them.
• Submitting false reports on posts to take them down.

Sexual Content:

We maintain zero tolerance for any form of sexual exploitation, abuse, or inappropriate sexual content. Under no circumstances may you:

• Exploit or abuse, including through physical contact, sexualized language, or manipulative behaviors.
• Share, post, save, send, forward, distribute, or solicit any abuse material or imagery.
• Engage in grooming, sextortion (sexual extortion), or any conduct intended to recruit, coerce, or desensitize a user to sexual activity.
• Inappropriate sexualization of children in words, images, or actions, or encourage others to do so.
• Provide, promote, or facilitate pornographic material or sexual services, whether online or offline, including any commercial activities related to pornography.

These rules apply across all modes of communication—spoken, written, or digital. If appropriate, any actual or attempted violation of this policy will be reported immediately to the appropriate authorities, and may result in the removal of offending content as well as suspension or termination of your access.

Fraudulent and Deceptive Information:

We maintain zero tolerance for deceptive, misleading, or abusive behaviors. Under no circumstances may you:

• Spread false or harmful information—including denial of well-documented tragedies, unverified medical claims, attacks on the integrity of elections or civic processes, or any content altered or generated to mislead or manipulate.
• Impersonate any person, group, brand, or organization—whether a friend, celebrity, public figure, or business—for harmful or non-satirical purposes.
• Engage in spam or undisclosed promotional schemes, such as hidden paid endorsements, pay-for-follower or follower-growth tactics, promotion of spam applications, or recruitment for multilevel marketing or pyramid schemes.
• Commit fraud or other dishonest practices, including advertising bogus goods or services, get-rich-quick promises, or falsely representing yourself as Rove or Rove Incorporated.

Illegal Activity:

We maintain zero tolerance for any illegal use of our platform. Under no circumstances may you:

• Use Rove to send, post, or facilitate content that is unlawful or intended to support illegal activity.
• Promote, facilitate, or participate in the purchase, sale, exchange, or distribution of illegal or regulated substances, including controlled drugs.
• Offer, trade, or distribute contraband—such as abuse or exploitation material—or illicit items.
• Deal in counterfeit goods or forged documents, including false identification or fraudulent certificates.
• Promote or enable any form of human exploitation, including sex trafficking, labor trafficking, or other human trafficking schemes.
• Stalk, surveil, or repeatedly contact individuals without their consent—whether in person, via digital channels, or through tracking technologies—in a manner that invades privacy or threatens safety.

Intellectual property:

We maintain zero tolerance for intellectual property infringement. Under no circumstances may you:

• Share, upload, or distribute copyrighted text, images, audio, video, software, or other works without the rights holder’s explicit permission.
• Provide or link to unauthorized copies of books, films, music, games, applications, or “cracked” software.
• Circumvent or facilitate the circumvention of digital rights management (DRM) or other protective measures.
• Misuse trademarks, logos, or brand assets in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without consent.
• Encourage or organize the mass downloading, scraping, or replication of protected content.
